New contact centre mentoring program launches

The Auscontact Association & Symmetry HR NSW have joined forces to launch a mentoring program in NSW that will bring together senior practitioners from diverse verticals to mentor up-and-coming leaders. Even better is the program will be completely free for Auscontact Members.

There are only twelve pairings (twelve mentors & twelve mentees) available in this program. Mentors and mentees will be paired based on their goals and background and are expected to meet regularly over the mentoring period to assist the mentee to reach these goals whilst also working on any potential challenges that arise.

Both mentors and mentees will be provided with two training workshops delivered by Southern Star Learning to assist them in getting the most out of their experience.

Mentees are required to attend two half day workshops (1 May & 5 June) which will cover their role, expectations as well as goal setting and measurement. They will be introduced to some of the skills, attitudes and behaviours that will enable them to capitalise on the time they spend with their mentors.

Mentors are required to attend two full day workshops (2 May & 6 June) which will enable the Mentor to successfully deliver maximum impact with a minimum of fuss. The content is designed to take each Mentor through processes that will allow them to develop key skills and habits that will compliment their personality and communication style. Mentors are also expected to be available to meet their mentees at the Auscontact Office on 1 May over a light lunch.

If you would like to be a part of the program as a mentor or mentee, please visit the Auscontact website to download the mentor nomination form and return to by COB Thursday 29 March.

Based on the success of the program it may be rolled out to all states in the future which is a great initiative for the industry.
