Carer’s Leave

In Australia, most organisations allow paid time off known as Carer’s Leave for staff to care for immediate family members.

Carer’s leave is normally deducted from the employee’s personal sick leave balance.

We’re a kind caring bunch, aren’t we 🙂

And no, caring for your pet does NOT count as ‘immediate family’ no matter how much you love them.
