Salmat parts way with CEO Craig Downer
Salmat Limited (ASX:SLM) has announced with immediate effect the departure of their Chief Executive Officer, Craig Downer.
It has been reported that the decision was by mutual agreement.
Chairman and Founder, Mr Peter Mattick AM thanked Mr Dower for his service over the last three years.
“Craig joined Salmat as Chief Executive Officer in April 2014 and has overseen the re-platforming of the company onto cloud based solutions with Workday and Google apps. The strategy has delivered lower operating costs and greater efficiency for the whole business.
Ms Rebecca Lowde, the Chief Financial Officer has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.
“We wish Craig well in his future endeavours,” said Mr Mattick.
its certainly been a bumpy ride for investors.
In March 2017 they were removed from the All Ordinaries (XAO) due to the recent performance of the company.
The All Ordinaries is considered a total market barometer for the Australian stock market and contains the 500 largest ASX-listed companies by way of market capitalisation.
As some of you may be aware I asked the question earlier in the year ‘Where is Salmat‘ given they, in my opinion, seemed to have somewhat vanished from the local call centre outsourcing scene.
This latest news is sure to add further speculation about the long term sustainability of a long term future for Salmat in Australia which would no doubt have existing customers concerned, and invariably make it a tough decision for any potential customers to come on board further exacerbating the problem.
For the sake of their employees I hope they can steer the ship around.
